PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Add three more states to the South Dakota Board of Regents’ Advantage rate program. Minnesota, Kansas and Missouri students are now approved for in-state tuition rates. Regents President Tim Rave calls the program a win-win.
Rave says regents also approved a 50-percent tuition break for state employees who enroll in online courses.
The tuition reductions take effect next month for state employees, and next summer for the non-resident program. Rave says the hope is that when the students graduate they’ll stay, work and raise a family in South Dakota.
